Above Ground Pool Steps are built in different sizes (5x5, 5x8, 6x6, 6x8, and others). The wood is treated with a moisture barrier and a protective outdoor stain, and all screws are inset for safety. Splinters are avoided by sanding and all edges are soft sanded to avoid cuts. A gate is also included.
These are just a few of the items I’ve crafted in my 45 years of crafting. I use the term “we” because of the fine young people who have always shown an interest in doing and keeping the tradition alive. A hand-crafted item is more than just something of use, it’s a legacy to the one who built it, and it carries the blood, sweat, and tears of the crafter.
